Effective November 1, 2022, the VIVA Wellness Colonic experience will be upgraded and clients will see slight changes with big improvements. VIVA Wellness is one of the very few colon hydrotherapy clinics in Wisconsin to have obtained International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy (I-ACT) Certification. That means we are one of the few places where you will be able to experience this elevated, impactful service. Below we outline what’s changing, and if you’re curious, now is a great time to purchase before the new rates go into effect (Nov 1, 2022).
What’s Changing with Our Colonic Service?
We know, it was already really great. VIVA Wellness Colon Hydrotherapists have a waitlist that’s quite lengthy at times, and don’t worry we are dreaming up solutions to this, because you’re sold on the experience. After nearly 300 hours of study and training, Laura is now I-ACT Certified, and the result of that training is the awareness of how the colonic experience can be even more impactful on your health!
- CASTOR OIL TREATMENT: High-quality, organic castor oil is massaged in the abdomen with a layer of warm cloth and then tucked under a heating pad that you are snuggled up with the whole session. This stimulates your colon to relax and release more effectively. Castor oil has been used for centuries to assist the body in healing. Experiencing a castor oil treatment during a colonic not only helps your colon, but it stimulates your liver to expel excess bile through the colon, so it’s basically a two-for-one detox experience now! - REFLEXOLOGY: Laura has learned specific reflexology, a gentle and non-intrusive technique on your feet to help you achieve bigger releases throughout your service.
- ENHANCED GI COUNSELING: Included in every session is a layer of coaching that goes beyond just gut health. I-ACT has taught them how to teach you to access many facets of your daily routines and guide you to living a healthier lifestyle. Gut health is not just about the gut, it’s about how your entire body is functioning. Laura has gone through her own health struggles giving them a deep empathy and understanding of what your current quality of life is like. This lived experience paired with the rigorous education they received directly translates to coaching clients to achieve their wellness goals. The Introductory Appointment includes a cozy sit-down conversation diving into your health history, followed by an educational portion about the colon. Many people know what a colon is but don’t know how it functions. We are here to empower you to know how your body is working and how to heal it. We will then explain the Aquanet ASP-100, explaining each of the safety features and processes. Our colon machine is like the Rolls Royce of colonic machines—it is FDA-cleared and even has a three-step filtration process for the water. Once all of your questions have been answered we will proceed to your first 30-minute colonic. During the colonic, the provider will be able to make recommendations based on your conversation and what is observed during the colonic on what type of treatment plan you may need and supplements to assist in healing.
What’s Changing in Our Colonic Packages?
We are transforming our packages to meet the standard practice recommendation of I-ACT. We will no longer offer a three-pack Colonic, we will now be offering packages of four and six sessions. Our I-ACT Certified Colon Hydrotherapists are trained to tailor a healing plan to your specific needs. For example, after your first introductory colonic, you may need two colonics a week for two weeks to remove the impacted layers of fecal matter. Another example is you need a month-long candida cleanse, and will recommend you come in once a week for a month during the cleanse to help your body eliminate effectively during this detoxing.
If colonics are part of your monthly self-care regimen, consider buying a package of 4 or 6 upfront to save in the long run! If you are already an existing monthly maintenance client and feel like you’re in need of another series, your provider can help determine what type of approach will work best for your goals.
