Medical weight loss programs consist of a customized nutrition plan complete with prescription weight loss medication based on the individual client’s history and wellness goals. If you would like VIVA Wellness to help you lose weight, our nurse practitioner will personally meet with you on a regular basis to keep you on track throughout your wellness journey.
Medical Weight Loss Protocol at VIVA Wellness
Medical weight loss programs through VIVA Wellness include compounded semaglutide, CONTRAVE® (naltrexone HCI/bupropion HCl), Phentermine, Qsymia®, and other products developed by the medical community to help the body release weight through various approaches.
Our medical weight loss protocols are designed to help you reach your goals while allowing for the behaviors you deem aligned with your lifestyle. Our goal throughout any weight loss journey is total body health, which is why working with a VIVA Wellness Nurse Practitioner is so important. You are given a custom protocol, with any needed nutrition and movement plans, that is based on individual health history, wellness goals, and overall preferences. Having a dedicated Nurse Practitioner invested in your wellness journey also means that your protocol includes accountability and consistent check-ins to ensure that you are on track moving toward your goals.
Because weight loss does not happen independently of the rest of the body's functions, VIVA Wellness is proud to offer in-house options to amplify and support your results with suggested digestive and/or lymphatic system services.
Medications & prescriptions in a medical weight loss plan can include:
- Compounded Semaglutide: Provides powerful weight loss results through a weekly injection protocol without having to radically modify diet and lifestyle. Compounded semaglutide is a non-stimulant, reduces cravings, makes you feel fuller for longer, and regulates blood sugar levels.
- Mourjaro® or Compounded Tirzepatide: Offers similar results to those using compounded semaglutide—reducing appetite, sustaining satiety, and balancing blood sugar. The combination of these benefits over time means sustained weight loss for many.
- CONTRAVE® (naltrexone HCI/bupropion HCl): Works on two areas of your brain, the hunger center and the reward system, to reduce hunger and help control cravings.
- Phentermine: A short-term solution for appetite suppression. Works best in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise.
- Qsymia®: This is a combination of two drugs: Phentermine and Topiramate. It will help you eat less by reducing your appetite and feeling more satisfied with what you've eaten.
- Additional weight loss medications may be prescribed during your care.
